![]() ![]() Thanks to everyone who helped me up to this point. ![]() What I do know is that a workable disassembly will be touch due to having to watch out for all three components and making sure everything fits in the ROM in a way the 68000 will like (as it is limited by the bank switcher). ![]() It's his job to protect the park and make it a happy place for visitors. Knuckles works at Carnival Island, an amusement park. The starring character in this title is Knuckles the Echidna, who first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. ![]() I still do not know how to get a fully rebuildable ROM, nor do I know how the bank switcher handles saving files. English Knuckles Chaotix is a spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog series of Genesis games. I may update this readme (or possibly some other file) to explain everything over time. Knuckles' Chaotix seems to be a game that most people agree is, at best, average, which is probably the biggest reason it hasn't seen a re-release outside of the emulation thing.Doesn't help that the 32X add-on itself is often considered to be terrible, due to it releasing before the also 32-bit and CD-based Sega Saturn in North America, while having a pitiful library of only 40 games (and that includes the six "32X CD" games where you also needed to own a Sega CD and likely a power strip since the Genesis, 32X, and CD all required their own power supplies). Interest in the 32X and it's games, even in retro gaming communities, isn't really that great. It probably was planned for the Gems Collection (which was dedicated to "rare and obscure" Sonic titles), but it was likely scrapped BECAUSE the emulation would be taxing on the PS2 and GameCube's hardware. 32X emulation, even now, is far from being easy, especially when compared to Genesis emulation. ![]()
